It’s been two years and change since the second season of True Detective concluded and had viewers agreeing that maybe HBO should just put that series out of its (and our) misery. But alas they’re giving it another go with Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali starring as detective Wayne Hays.

Ali’s character through the years continues to be haunted by that one murder case he couldn’t seem to crack.

Set in the backdrop of the Ozarks, the latest trailer for the third season of True Detective features detective Hays struggling to make sense of the clues he has to work with while dealing with a community on the brink of madness. This season of the HBO series will also be starring the likes of Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff and Scoot McNairy.

Will you be tuning in when Mahershala Ali tries to solve his greatest case yet on January 13 or did Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell completely ruin the series for you to the point of no return?

Check out the latest trailer below and let us know.

Rihanna is the latest musician to state openly that they do not want President Donald Trump to play their music at his rallies held across the nation. The Barbadian singer joins the likes of Pharrell Williams and Aerosmith in banning the former business mogul from using their art at the events.

NBC News reports:

After Washington Post reporter, Philip Rucker, on Sunday tweeted that Rihanna’s hit song was playing at a rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the singer replied: “Not for much longer.”

She also said: “me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies.”

Rucker said the song was played while aides tossed Trump T-shirts into the crowd, as is commonly done at baseball games. “Everyone’s loving it,” he said.

Rihanna’s warning to the president came hours after she endorsed Andrew Gillum, the Democratic candidate for governor of Florida, in an Instagram post.

As the outlet notes, last week Skateboard P sent Trump a cease and desist letter regarding his mega-hit “Happy” being played at rallies.

Ja Rule Says Fans Screamed “F**k 50 Cent” At His Concert Last Night: “Pleasant Surprise”

Ja Rule Selfie

New York rapper Ja Rule won’t be reaching out to 50 Cent for a game of Words With Friends anytime soon. The hip-hop veteran has continued to remind the G-Unit boss he really, really, really doesn’t like him.

Rule hit up Instagram Monday (November 5) to take a shot at his rap rival and also claim fans ripped the Unit leader during his Texas concert.

Over the weekend, 50 Cent responded to Rule’s dare of meeting him in-person.

Heading into the weekend, Ja publicly called out 50 Cent and dared him to see him face-to-face.

Last month, Ja went in-in on his feud with 50 Cent by dragging G-Unit’s Young Buck into the e-beef.

Cardi B Flexes In All-Reebok Everything Attire: “If You Don’t Know, Now You Know”

Cardi B

NeW York rapper Cardi B is really about that Reebok life. The hip-hop diva has confirmed buzz about partnering up with the sneaker giant.

Cardi hit up Instagram Monday (November 5) to share an epic-looking pic of herself draped in Reebok.

Reebok’s president has since confirmed the company’s decision to work with Cardi.

“For us, she really is emblematic of what our brand has done well over the years and that is to be bold, provocative and uninhibited,” Matthew O’Toole, Reebok’s president, told WWD. “If we look at some of the things we’ve done with Allen Iverson or being the first to sign musicians, or more recently with Kerby [Jean-Raymond] of Pyer Moss, when we are at our best we are with people who are comfortable living out loud and Cardi fits that.” (Just Jared)

Reebok is known for partnering with high-profile musicians over the years.

Reebok was the first athletic brand to partner with hip-hop artists including Jay-Z, Pharrell and Future, on their own footwear lines. The brand has also worked closely with female artists including Missy Elliott, Eve and Queen Latifah. Todd Krinsky, general manager of Reebok Performance, previously told WWD that the strategy has shifted from celebrities creating their own sub-brands and silhouettes to celebrities bringing attention to Reebok’s iconic sneaker models. (WWD)

Earlier this year, Cardi and pop star Bruno Mars wore Reebok kicks in their “Finesse Remix” music video.

Mars danced in Reebok Court Victory Pumps, which was worn specifically by tennis pro Michael Chang in the early 1990’s. His dancers were also spotted in old-school kicks from Nike. Cardi B dressed the part, also donning black and gold Reebok classics. Let’s just say she is giving Jennifer Lopez a run for her money as the ultimate Fly Girl. (Footwear News)
