Lady Gaga is currently on a press tour promoting her forthcoming film, A Star is Born. She sat down with Bossip and was asked about the abrupt cancellation of her 2009 joint tour with Kanye West called Fame Kills, following Ye’s outburst to Taylor Swift at the VMAs that year.
In 2016, West confessed that the cancellation of the tour was the “beginning of the end of my life.”
While I don't agree with everything he does I hope the public shows compassion and for @kanyewest and each other. One love. One Race.
Gaga didn’t get into specifics. Instead, she gracefully answered the question looping back in the point of the interview, which is the film, and noted that the film also touches on mental health issues.
“Everybody has a threshold and everybody’s a human. And artists are human,” she said. “I think that this film [A Star is Born] also deals with mental health issues, substance abuse, addiction, [and] a lot of trauma as well (…) I think it’s important to take care of people and to look out for the mental health. I think there’s nothing wrong with it, if an artist needs to stop it’s them listening to their body and their mind.”
Co-star, Bradley Cooper, also chimed in and gave his two cents. Watch the video in its entirety below:

During the press conference, Coker was asked if there was a business deal with 50 yet and he replied with a surprising answer that the G-Unitboss is releasing a new album in a few weeks. “Yeah, he’s got a new album dropping in about six weeks,” Coker said around the 5:45 mark. “It’s like, look, he loves MMA. And when a big star like that loves MMA and wants to be involved, it just makes a lot of sense. And he wanted to come and check it out. This was his first time to a Bellator fight,” he continued. New York Times writer Jon Caramanica recently spent three days with West for an in-depth profile, and he followed it up with a Q&A on NYT’s Popcast on Wednesday. During the podcast, Caramanica mentioned, “He said he wants to get a place in Wyoming and he thinks he wants to spend more time there. He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks. Take that for what you will.” (Pigeons and Planes)
