New York rapper Nas is celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. God’s Son went to social media this week to remember the civil rights icon’s born day.

Nasir Jones hopped on Instagram Tuesday (January 15) to acknowledge MLK Jr.’s 90th birthday.

Next week, TV network BET is airing a one-hour “Martin: The Legacy of a King” documentary based on MLK’s life.

BET News announces the premiere of a new original documentary, “Martin: The Legacy of a King” airing Monday, January 21, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET. Directed and produced by NAACP Image Award-winning duo, Coodie & Chike (“Ali: The People’s Champ”), this 1-hour film offers a powerful look into Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life as a leader and champion of the Civil Rights Movement at the height of its existence, and the impact of his legacy since his untimely death. (BET Networks)

The one-hour documentary will feature a slew of high-profile entertainers ranging from Vic Mensa and LeCrae to Reverend Al Sharpton.

“Martin: The Legacy of a King” is narrated by Grammy Award winning poet, J. Ivy, and features testimony from Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. William Barber, actress Amanda Seales, comedian Deon Cole, actor Laz Alonzo, actor Andre Holland, actor Rotimi, rapper/poet Rapsody, rapper Vic Mensa, rapper LeCrae, author and activist Patrisse Cullors. “Martin: The Legacy of a King” airs Monday, January 21 at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT on BET.
