Meek Mill and The Dreamchasers Host Holiday Toy Giveaway for 3,500 Philly Children

On Saturday, Meek Mill and the DreamChasters took over Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center in Philadelphia for their second annual toy giveaway. The event served over 3,500 Philadelphia kids in need.

Meek, along with PUMA, Activision, GoPuff, and Docuvault, gave away video game consoles, bicycles, art kids, jewelry-making kits, Marvel action figures, stuffed animals, board games, gift cards, PUMA sneakers and an array of other toys to kids in attendance. In addition to those gifts, Meek raffled 10 Xbox systems and tickets to see the hometown Philadelphia 76ers.

Meek brought special guests with him to the handout toys and mingle with children. On hand were Philadelphia 76ers guard Trey Burke, professional dirt bike rider/actor Chino Braxton, Philadelphia rapper Shawn Smith, Philadelphia-born heavyweight boxer Darmani Rock. Families were on hand from 7 am ET and greeted by Meek.

This past Friday, Meek held another toy drive in Pittsburgh in honor of Antwon Rose Jr., an unarmed 17-year-old and honor roll student who was fatally shot by an East Pittsburgh police officer on June 19, 2018. During the event over 600 hoodies that displayed J4A – Justice for Antwon – and 600 basketballs. Recently Meek and The Chasers revealed a PSA on Rose, which you can see below.
