Lifetime Docuseries ‘Suriving R. Kelly’ Set to Release January 2019

The trailer for the Lifetime docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly is finally here.

The series is set to trace the singer’s past from 1970 up to the present. According to Rolling Stone, it will feature 50 interviews, with commentary from notables like, Tarana Burke, Wendy Williams, and John Legend. Also set to talk to the cameras are Kelly’s brothers Carey and Bruce, his ex-girlfriend Kitti Jones, and his ex-wife Andrea Kelly.

The docuseries will explore the allegations brought forth by multiple women who say the artist sexually, mentally, and physically abused them.

The preview goes back and forth from Kelly’s charming onstage persona to the dark accusations that have been racking up against him for decades.

The six-hour series is set to be shown in three parts very early next year on Thursday, January 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT; Friday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT; and Saturday, January 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
