Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have revealed the name of their baby boy.
Taking to social media, Kim announced the couple’s fourth child—Psalm West—and shared the first photo of their newborn son, who is pictured sleeping in a bassinet.
“Beautiful Mother’s Day. With the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need,” Kanye wrote to Kim in a text message exchange, which she posted online.
Psalm was born via surrogate on Thursday, May 9. He weighed in at 6 lbs. and 9 oz. Kim announced his arrival on Twitter, writing, “He’s here and he’s perfect!”
According to his mother, the baby resembles his sister Chicago. “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her,” added Kim.

The biblical name, which means a sacred song or hymn, was likely inspired by Kanye’s spiritual path and his Sunday Service, which he brought to Coachella on Easter Sunday.
He is now reportedly looking to start a church of his own. “He is extremely passionate about his faith and wants to share it more regularly with people,” a source told PEOPLE. “He spends a lot of time studying and praying, and wants to share his journey.”
Psalm joins his three siblings including sisters North, 5, and Chicago, 1, and brother Saint, 3.
