Jhené Aiko’s ‘CHILOMBO’ Has Biggest Debut Week for a Female R&B Artist Since Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’

Jhené Aiko’s CHILOMBO has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Album chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album is the biggest $&B debut from a female artist since Beyonce’s Lemonade and the biggest of Aiko’s career.

The new album from Aiko brought in over 170 million global streams in its debut and singles have over 700 million cumulative streams. The album had an overall consumption of 152,000 units.

The album was led by “B.S.” featuring H.E.R., which did over 25 million streams in the first week, following the powerful runs of “Triggered (Freestyle)” and “Pus$$y Fair (OTW),” which have collected over 330 million streams and 94 million streams, respectively.

The massive first week made Aiko the top UMG artist of the week for Apple Music and the #1 female artist for the week at Youtube.

The album signals Jhené coming into her own personal power. The title is pulled from her full name, Jhené Aiko Efuru CHILOMBO.
