New York radio veteran Ebro Darden needs some answers quick, fast and in a hurry. The Hot 97 personality has singled out rap star Travis Scott for allegedly making a deal with the NFL for a $500,000 charity donation in exchange for his Super Bowl LIII halftime performance.

Ebro went to Instagram Tuesday (January 15) to let loose his frustrations.

Last weekend, reports emerged about Scott’s Super Bowl halftime deal.

Travis Scott today announced that in partnership with the National Football League, he will make a $500,000 donation to the non-profit organization Dream Corps, among “other initiatives that he will work with the League on.” The move is clearly designed to counter criticism over his appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show with Maroon 5 — which was finally confirmed, after weeks of speculation, precisely 30 minutes after Scott announced the donation on Sunday. A few days ago, halftime performers Maroon 5 announced OutKast’s Big Boi would also join in on the festivities.

Recently, buzz developed about New York rapper Cardi B wanting around $1 million to perform at the SB.

The source claimed that the diva rapper had demanded a staggering fee of up to $1 million, plus a solo spot in the epic halftime show to make it worth her while. Artists are not paid for the halftime show, but are given a “gift in kind” by the NFL to cover expenses such as production, transport and wardrobe. (Page Six)
