L.A. Reid and Charles Goldstuck of Hitco Entertainment are partnering with Craig Piligian of Pilgrim Media Group to develop and produce a music-focused television business that will be distributed across multiple platforms. As apart of their vision, the two companies already have two production projects in the works. One of the projects is an untitled documentary project about Atlanta’s Black music scene, that L.A. Reid helps push into the forefront with LaFace Records in the early 90’s. The documentary will include L.A. Reid, himself, along with other credible Atlanta artists such as TLC, Usher, Ludacris, Gucci Mane, Migos, and more.
In addition, the two companies are planning production for a music competition program called ‘Take The Lead’, that aims to build the next major act in music.
Reid and Goldstuck expressed their excitement in teaming up with Piligian:
“We’re beyond thrilled to partner with Craig and the innovative content creators at Pilgrim. Given their diverse portfolio of programming and Craig’s unparalleled experience as an industry pioneer, we’re looking forward to the launch of our television business, which we see as a continuation of our many years of experience developing and producing cross-platform content.”
Simultaneously, Piligian returned much of the same eagerness about his new partnership with Reid and Goldstuck and said, “In all respects, L.A. and Charles have each made a tremendous impact on music. We are excited to be working with them to push the boundaries of the music programming genre with these projects and more to come.”
