Floyd Mayweather Wants The Smoke With Conor McGregor After Khabib

Floyd Mayweather made short work of Conor McGregor in their 2017 boxing match, and is keen to rematching the Irishman once more for the right dough. But first, Money Mayweather has his sights trained on UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who wants to meet the boxer on his turf.

TMZ Sports reports:

“McGregor was talking that sh*t, so it ain’t over,” Floyd told us while shopping in Bev Hills this weekend.

“After me and Khabib lock up, me and McGregor we gonna lock up again.”

As we previously reported, Floyd says he’ll accept Khabib’s challenge and will fight him in the boxing ring sometime in the near future, because it’ll do “crazy numbers.”

Floyd says he expects to make a 9-figure check from the Khabib fight — and a rematch with Conor could be just as successful.

“I’m ready to go out there and get the job done and entertain. ‘Cause me and McGregor Mayweather was real entertaining. I gave people what they wanted to see.”

Floyd also says his fights with UFC stars are helping the sport of MMA — telling TMZ Sports, “I’m helping keep combat sports alive!”

Nurmagomedov is no slouch in the ring but he is more known for his wrestling and ground-and-pound tactics than his hands. Still, he said he outstruck the striker in McGregor and believes he’ll give Mayweather some go.

Who you have in that fight? Sound off in the comments.

UFC 229 - Khabib v McGregor

By now you’ve surely heard that Conor McGregor tapped out after catching the hands and feet from Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. A brawl outside the ring ensued shortly after the match was called, and word is it was because a racial slur was hurled.

Reports TMZ Sports:

Conor McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis, called Khabib Nurmagomedov a “f**king Muslim rat” during the main event at UFC 229 — and that’s what set him off … a ringside witness tells TMZ Sports.

We spoke with a fan who was sitting in spitting distance from Danis during the fight — and we’re told Danis was running his mouth throughout most of the fight.

There was a moment between the 2nd and 3rd rounds when Khabib shot a death stare right at Dillon, according to our witness who says it was obvious Khabib heard at least some of the insults.

But, we’re told the final straw was the Muslim insult that Danis hurled toward the end of the fight.

Khabib threw his mouthpiece at Dillon and then jumped out of the cage to attack him in the stands.

If this is true, Dillon Danis is due the most proper of fades, truly.

Also, Filayyy’s recap is the only one you need to see of the fight. Hands, and feet bruh. Drake caping for you is officially a bad sign.

Drake Low-Key & High-Key Reveals He’s Team Conor McGregor Ahead Of Tonight’s Fight

Drake

OVO Sound boss Drake is really about that UFC life. The 6 God pulled through this week to show his support for MMA superstar Conor McGregor at a UFC 229 Lightweight Championship weigh-in.

Footage surfaced last night (October 5) coming out with McGregor on-stage in Las Vegas ahead of Saturday’s pay-per-view fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The “In My Feelings” rapper seemed to appear on the stage out of nowhere during Conor and Khabib’s public weigh-in Friday night in Vegas … draped in an Irish flag. After Conor flaunted his fighter bod for the cheering crowd, he got a hug from Drake before the ceremonial face-to-face with his opponent … which got a little heated. McGregor clearly violated Dana White’s “no touching” rule before giving a high-kick in Khabib’s direction. Khabib seemed unfazed. Both fighters made weight earlier Friday. (TMZ)

Last year, Drake showed his support for McGregor ahead of a publicized Floyd Mayweather Jr. boxing fight.

The Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor press tour made its way to Toronto on Wednesday, and you know the rules by now: If there’s a major sporting event going on in Toronto, Drake is going to be there. This was no different. The rap star made an appearance and even gave McGregor a visit before the festivities kicked off. (USA Today)
