T.I.’s Assault Charges are Dismissed From Security Guard Confrontation

T.I. has one less charge to worry about in connection to his unfair arrest outside of his own gated community in Atlanta.

The case’s prosecutors have chosen to drop the assault charge the rapper was facing, as per a report by TMZ on Wednesday (Oct. 17). As previously reported, Tip was arrested in May for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct as the result of an altercation with a security guard in his neighborhood who refused to let the rapper past the gate because he lacked proper identification.

T.I’s. lawyer made the following announcement, “Tip was in contact with ‘Tiny’ by phone and ‘Tiny confirmed that Tip should be let in immediately. The guard continued to refuse entry without justification. Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or a supervisor called the police. When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing Tip’s side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip.”

The guard insists that the Dime Trap rapper was insinuating a physical altercation, yet he denied those cases. Afterward, footage surfaced of the guards making fun of T.I.

Prosecutors determined that there wasn’t enough proof to pursue an assault charge, however, he still faces three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and one count of misdemeanor public drunkenness.

Machine Gun Kelly’s Goons Wanted For Atlanta Fade Delivery

Machine Gun Kelly and his crew will have to move carefully if they’re ever in Atlanta or its surrounding areas anytime soon. The rapper’s crew has warrants out for their arrest in connection to a vicious fade they handed actor Gabriel “G-Rod” Rodriguez, who caught the business end of some fists after calling MGK a p*ussy.

TMZ reports:

Sources close to the case tell TMZ … Atlanta PD has ID’d at least 3 individuals involved in the brutal beatdown of actor Gabriel “G-Rod” Rodriguez, and they’ve each been charged with misdemeanor battery.

We’re told at least 2 of the crew members live outside the state, and Atlanta PD won’t spend resources to extradite the suspects … because they’re only charged with misdemeanors.

As far as MGK’s fate goes … our law enforcement sources say he will NOT be charged with any crime, because the investigation determined G-Rod triggered the fight. G-Rod has not been charged yet.

Rodriguez initially told the outlet that he went at MGK because as a father himself, he thought the Cleveland star’s mentioning of Slim Shady’s then-teen daughter was tasteless thus the insult.

No word yet if Rodriguez will be seeking cash but that should be expected given the level of footage out there.

A3C Festival Recap: Wu-Tang Clan, Talib Kweli & PRhyme Bodied The Stage In ATL #A3C

A3C Festival Outdoor Show Day 1 Wu-Tang Clan & More

Source: D.L. Chandler / Hip-Hop Wired

At the 14th Annual A3C Festival in Atlanta, Ga., the city was once again overtaken by Hip-Hop artists from several eras and fans of all ages. For the first of the two-day main event on Saturday (10/6/18), the Wu-Tang Clan brought the ruckus, Talib Kweli showed why Brooklyn keeps on taking it, and the duo of Royce Da 5’9 and DJ Premier showed and proved why we all need a PRhyme 3.

We arrived at the Georgia Freight Depot just as the brothers of Griselda Westside Gunn and Conway touched the stage, making way for Royce, Preem and Kid Vishus on the supporting vocals to rock the crowd. Running through a number of PRhyme tracks, Nickel also went into the vault for some early classic Preemo-produced tracks like “BOOM!” and “Hip Hop” while also dropping some bars from his Slaughterhouse days. Curiously enough, Royce spoke of the quartet in the present tense so maybe there’s hope Joe Budden will come back to rapping? Who knows.

East Atlanta’s J.I.D. was up next and it was clear that rocking the stage in his hometown meant the world to him. While it was clear that many in the crowd were unfamiliar with the Spillage Village crew member and Dreamville Records signee, they won’t soon forget him as he commanded the stage like a rock star. Running through a few tracks from his debut album The Never Story, J.I.D.’s bright future was cemented on this warm Saturday night.

Talib Kweli wasn’t slated to take the main stage as he was set to go on at the Sound Garage location, but to the delight of fans, he was bumped up and did what he was there to do. Of course, Kweli, a masterful showman, ran through some of his big solo hits but also showcased his group efforts with Black Star and Reflection Eternal. A serious moment in the show was when Kweli, known for battling on Twitter for who he called the “voiceless” onstage, began sharing why he won’t “shut up” and will continue being a voice for the people.

However, it was clear that most in attendance were there to see the Wu-Tang Clan and they didn’t disappoint. With all core members of the Clan onstage, with Ol’ Dirty Bastard there in the spirit of his son, Young Dirty Bastard, the crew celebrated 25 years of Wu by performing the entire Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers album. YDB channeled his father in uncanny fashion, and the Shaolin Swordsman looked glad to be onstage.

After running through the album, GZA went through some of his top hits from Liquid Swords, while Ghostface Killah ran through some of his Ironman darts, followed with Raekwon getting into his Only Built For Cuban Linx bag as expected. Method Man and RZA were clearly the bringers of energy and motivation, but all members of the Clan showed out. Cappadonna appeared after the debut album set and also showed and proved.

If only for a couple of hours, Atlanta felt like Shaolin and reminded everyone that the Wu-Tang Clan’s contributions to Hip-Hop go farther than a classic debut album.

Sky & Ceaser Of ‘Black Ink Crew’ Sued For Allegedly Turning Rental Home Into Sex Pad

Sky and Ceasar of Black Ink Crew are embroiled in a legal battle over allegedly turning their down south rental home into a wild sex pad. According to the home’s landlord, Sky violated terms of her lease agreement by having Ceasar in the home and for filming scenes there as well.

TMZ reports:

Hussein Abdelhadi is suing Jakeita Days — aka “Sky” and manager of the Atlanta tattoo shop featured on the show — along with Ceaser Emanuel — who owns the joint — claiming Sky broke her lease by filming scenes at the ATL crib.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Abdelhadi claims his lease specifically says his rental house is for residential purposes only. He also says Sky was the only one allowed to stay there under the terms of the lease and screwed up letting Emanuel also live there.

What’s got Abdelhadi even more pissed off is Sky essentially allowed Emanuel to use the crib as a motel to not only stay there but also bang chicks. Abdelhadi says he’s haunted “by images of the property being used as a house of ill repute” after the show aired.

The homeowner said he intended to move back into the home with his family but says that the alleged happenings in the home have made living there an unfit choice. The homeowner also named Viacom in his lawsuit.

Over the weekend, a former Atlanta rapper and another man were arraigned and face drug trafficking charges. According to reports, Tommie “Columbia BT” Walker and Juan Carlos Garcia-Martinez were caught allegedly attempting to move $4,000,000 in cocaine in what appears to be a multi-state operation.

WSB-TV reports:

Tommie Walker — also known as “Columbia BT” — and Juan Carlos Garcia-Martinez were arraigned on Friday. They face federal charges of drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

“These defendants were allegedly part of a multi-state drug distribution scheme that transported and distributed cocaine worth approximately $4 million,” said U.S. Attorney B.J. Pak. “Thanks to the work of law enforcement in Georgia, South Carolina and Colorado, this drug enterprise is now history.”

According to Pak, the investigation started in August 2017.

Pak said Walker is accused of operating a warehouse in the Atlanta area where he received shipments of cocaine hidden in tractor-trailers from Colorado. The cocaine would then be distributed throughout Georgia and South Carolina. Garcia-Martinez is alleged to be a co-conspirator.

During the investigation, officers seized more than 135 kilograms of cocaine — valued at more than $4 million. They also confiscated more than $220,000 in cash.

Columbia BT is facing conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and three counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine charges. Garcia-Martinez, and another man, Samuel Anchondo-Galaviz, face conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine charges each.

Lil Rel Says he Feels Bad for Katt Williams

Lil Rel stopped by Two Bees TV ahead of the premiere of the second episode of his series, Rel, at the 2018 Urbanworld Film Festival. He was one of the victims of Katt Williams’ rant about undeserving comedians so of course that was a hot topic.

He discussed many things including, why he decided to cast social media comedian, Jess Hilarious, as his best friend on the show. But when asked about his thoughts in regards to what Katt said about him he admitted that he felt bad for him.

“There’s a reason why most of us haven’t given him jobs. He’s so talented, so funny, but I don’t know what he’s really angry about.” Rel continued, “The crazy thing is, maybe like five years ago he pulled me to the side and was like, ‘you going to be a star one day. Don’t let them burn you out'”

Eventually he went on to say that he still had respect for the legendary comedian, and that he was still a fan.

During the Q&A moderated by Blogxilla amid the screening, he explained what happened backstage at the Emmys when he crossed paths with Katt. Lil Rel said that when he heard Dave Chappelle showing him love, he just walked away. However, he was photographed on his knees and hugging Tiffany Haddish.

Even with some very serious legal issues looming over his head it is still business as usual for Young Thug. His long teased project has finally been unveiled.

On the heels of Slime Language, which was released last month, Thugger drops the aptly titled On The RVN. The EP is only six tracks deep but does pack some interesting artist collaborations. As Rap-Up noted Jeffery links with Jaden Smith on the previously released “Sin”. On “High” he brings Sir Elton John to the fold with a sample of the icon’s “Rocket Man”.

Originally announced in September 2017, On The RVN is being billed as his “most vulnerable project to date”. This might ring true as the “Best Friend” rapper is currently facing some heavy prison time. Last fall during a traffic stop in Atlanta he was caught with a medley of drugs including hydrocodone, marijuana and codeine. Additionally police also found an unregistered firearm in the vehicle. Thug has since been charged with eight felony charges. He now awaits trial.

You can listen to On The RVN below. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
