Kanye Westand his MAGA-loving coon tour made a stop in Washington, D.C. in where he had an off-the-rails discussion with President Donald Trump that went absolutely nowhere. Not content with his showing out at the White House, Yeezy took him and his cute little red hate to a local Apple store to deliver a zany tabletop speech.
Though it’s unclear exactly what West was doing at the Apple Store — some local reports have him there for a Genius Bar appointment, but that remains unverified — he did proceed to stand on top of one of Apple’s signature wooden tables to deliver an impromptu “keynote.”
Jack Jenkins, a reporter for Religion News Service, was in attendance to capture the moment with his phone and share it on Twitter. Jenkins says West told the crowd an anecdote about having made a custom hat for Trump with an edited version of his signature “Make American Great Again” slogan, with the “again” cut out as it was disrespect to black Americans.
The whole scenario seems a bit surreal, and Jenkins says it concluded when West left the store, telling the crowd he was “going to Africa.” Nobody at the Apple Store appeared to have any prior knowledge of this event, or really any idea what had just transpired for that matter.
Check out the footage from Jack Jenkins below.
He’s announcing he made a hat for Trump that says “made an updated hat that says ‘make America great’ without the ‘again’…and Trump wore it!”
Shows a picture on his iphone of Trump wearing said hat.
If you get jammed up by the feds, can they use your face to unlock your phone? An Ohio man found that yes they most certainly can.
In what is the first case of such a scenario globally, Forbes reports that back in August during a raid of Grant Michalski’s home they used his face to unlock his iPhone X while searching for evidence of him sending or receiving child pornography.
The FBI did show up to his residence armed with a search warrant (contains graphic material) giving them access to his home and computer to search for evidence, his iPhone X was recovered in the raid. The agents who found the device asked Michalski to unlock his phone using the facial recognition technology, and he complied. Once he opened the phone, they put in airplane mode and searched the phones documents and files and documenting what they found by taking pictures.
While trying to transfer over files from the phone, the FBI was locked out of the phone again because they did not have Michalski’s passcode. They asked for and was granted another search warrant allowing them to conduct a more thorough search of the phone without having to use Michalski’s face this time around. Instead, they used devices both the Columbus Police Department and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have that can bypass the passcode protection.
This situation shows the Law is terribly behind the times when it comes to technology and protecting people from incriminating themselves. There has been no challenge to the FBI using Michalski’s face but thanks to the Fifth Amendment that can be changed. This isn’t the first time Apple and its product were involved in a criminal case, back in 2016 the company took on the FBI in San Bernardino over access to a locked iPhone.
Do you think it’s fair game? Or is the law overstepping? We are interested to see how this situation plays out.
Kanye West has profited from his brand Yeezy’s for some years now and it keeps getting better. Ye has made his brand into a nonprofit organization to where it’s under one of the largest technology companies right now called Apple. He recently tweeted “We unofficially work for Steve Johnny Tim and Lorraine,” he continued, referencing Steve Jobs, the late co-founder of Apple Inc., and other Apple officials. “Everything we do at YZY is to be an arm (branch) of what our hero Steve has created. With love.”
This partnership is questionable how it came about with the Vice President of the company. But we all know about the rant Kanye had with Donald Trump with his MAGA Hat and wanting us Americans to forgive him and stand by him while he supports Trump. The hip-hop community is saying that it is an insult to the African American community since fans look up to him. Most rappers that include T.I. and Snoop Dogg are saying that they are in distraught in regards to Ye’s beliefs.
Apple customers are currently enjoying their new iPhones, but keeping them fully charged might be a problem due to a glaring issue discovered with them.
Apple’s iPhone XS and XS Max are here, but you might want to hold on the first generation of the $1,000 plus investments. Both phones are reportedly having charging issues due to them not working when a charging cable is plugged into the phone’s Lightning port.
A customer by the username of xMASTIFFSx took to Apple’s support forum to point out the issue with their iPhone XS. In detail, the user claims that when the phone is connected to a Lightning cable and is sleep, there is no response from the phone instead of lighting up and indicating the phone is charging.
In a video from Unboxing Therapy posted above, the issue is highlighted even further after testing showing that issue also affects the iPhone XS Max as well. Once a Lightning cable is attached, the phones in worst cases become unresponsive, and other times the phone indicates that it is charging, but once unplugged clearly shows the phone did not recharge. xMASTIFFSx’s post now about 20 pages with other users also point out the same issue.
The problem with the phones does not happen frequently and could mean that it’s a software issue. If that is indeed the case that means the issue could be corrected with a software update easily. BUT if it’s not that means customers would have to purchase a wireless charging pad. We are still waiting on Apple’s promised air charging mat that was noticeably absent at the company’s recent event.
At those prices, an issue like that is the last thing customers need to worry about when it comes to their iPhones. We are sure Apple will be addressing this issue very soon.

Dr. Dre’s TV series hit a roadbump. On Saturday (Sept. 22), the Wall Street Journal announced that Vital Signs, which is a semi-autobiographical show Dre created for Apple, was dismissed by Apple CEO Tim Cook for being too violent.
Clearly Cook saw the six-episode series himself before revealing to Interscope co-founder and current Apple executive, Jimmy Iovine that the show highlighted too many violent scenes. Along with gun violence, the show also shows sex scenes and scenes with drug usage. Neither Dre nor Cook have talked about the rejection of the show.
Vital Signs was initially reported back in the winter of 2016 and it’s been disclosed that Michael K. Williams, Sam Rockwell and Ian McShane were stars on the show. At the time, it was accounted for that every scene of the arrangement gathered be “focusing on a different emotion and how Dre’s character deals with it.”
While Vital Signs is practically no more, that doesn’t mean Dre has had time off. Back in July, it was reported that the Good Doctor was mixing and mastering Anderson .Paak’s, Oxnard album. In the caption for his celebratory post, which incorporated a picture of himself with .Paak, Dre let free the uplifting news. “Just finished mixing the album. It’s a celebration b—–s!”
We may not be getting the chance to see Vital Signs, but at least we’ll get some music soon!
Near the top of the year, Appleannounced it was hopping into the wide-open streaming market and introduced a list of original programming. Among them was a series from Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine titled Vital Signs, but Apple’s boss Tim Cook has decided not to go forward with the show for a variety of reasons.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Cook was put off by several scenes of violence, drug use, and sex scenes, including orgies, and despite Dre’s efforts to tone down the content, it wasn’t good enough.
Cook personally decided against moving forward on it, opting to lead Apple’s proposed content services in a direction different from its competition and toward less-edgy content. The WSJ said the decision was made because Apple was afraid to jeopardize its consumer products sales, an issue not faced by streamers like Netflix and Amazon.
The WSJ also reported that a show featuring Resse Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston was also toned down. Apple also backed off from a Whitney Cummings show about the #MeToo movement (“too sensitive a topic”) and asked director M. Night Shyamalan to remove crucifixes from characters’ homes in his psychological thriller because of fears of alienating religious viewers.
It appears that Apple is doing a massive internal creative overhaul after it was slated to debate the service later this year. It has now been moved to debut around March 2019.
Another day, another company purchased. We reported on Pandora being acquired by SiriusXM yesterday, now Shazam has been bought by Apple.
The long-rumored deal was finalized yesterday (Sept.24) with tech giant dropping $400 million on the app and officially announced by Apple on its website. Speaking on Apple’s latest acquisition, Oliver Schusser vice president of Apple Music added:
“Apple and Shazam have a long history together. Shazam was one of the first apps available when we launched the App Store and has become a favorite app for music fans everywhere. With a shared love of music and innovation, we are thrilled to bring our teams together to provide users even more great ways to discover, experience and enjoy music.”
The insanely popular music identification app has been downloaded over a billion times with users utilizing the app to recognize songs 20 million times each day. There is no specific word on what Apple has in store with the purchase of the app, but some believe it could lead to the company significantly improving Siri, its voice recognition software. Despite having one of the most popular smartphones in the world with the iPhone, it lags behind the likes of Google for example voice assistant.
Also, Apple’s acquisition of Shazam could help them gain ground in the streaming wars closing that 23 million user gap between Apple Music and Spotify. The sky is officially the limit now for Apple, we are looking forward to the fruits this acquisition will bare.
