Cardi B Responds To Rumors About Her Dissing Nicki Minaj In New Music: “Dear TMZ…”

New York rapper Cardi B really isn’t here for the Onika rumors anymore. The hip-hop star has shut down speculation and reports about having some lyrical smoke for rap rival Nicki Minaj.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Cardi singled out gossip publication for running a story about her possibly blasting away at Nicki in new music.

“Dear TMZ …ya constantly got me in ya blog spreading fake s–t about me without doing ya research and even when we tell ya is not true ya still push it,” Cardi wrote on Instagram in a post she later deleted. “Ya motherf–kers need to get off my dick and start reporting about them actresses ya used to report about cause I’m not the one to f–k with THANK YOU!! Btw in REAL news my single ‘Money’ drops November 26!!” (E! Online)

This week, reports emerged about Cardi possibly having disses aimed at Nicki in new music.

Sources close to Cardi tell us the rapper has already recorded some new stuff, and the lyrics take some serious jabs at Nicki. We’re told her team is divided … some think the Nicki disses should be 86’d. Those people in Cardi’s camp feel the lyrics would actually benefit Nicki by putting the spotlight on her. Cardi’s team believes she’s already eclipsed Nicki, and the best strategy is just ignoring her. (TMZ)

Recent reports claimed Cardi linked up for new music with Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Meek Mill.

Sources tell TMZ Cardi recently stepped into the studio with none other than Meek Mill to lay down some material that’ll be used in a forthcoming song. We’re told they cranked out hooks and verses — all of which is fair game for a final product that’s yet to be released. While we’re told the collab happened a few months ago, the timing is nothing short of less-than-perfect for Nicki … who’s in the middle of a good ol’ fashioned beef with Cardi. (TMZ)

Last month, B’s camp reportedly denied claims from Nicki Minaj about making deals to get radio play.

Sources directly involved in the management and music promotion for Cardi B’s debut album tell The Blast it is “absolutely false” that anyone got paid or gifts in exchange for airtime. They’re responding to Nicki Minaj going on her Queen Radio and eviscerating her hip-hop foe. (The Blast)
