The entire world is in shock right now. Former Los Angeles Lakers superstar and NBA icon Kobe Bryant has reportedly died.

Big Facts: According to reports, the sports mogul lost his life Sunday in California from a helicopter crash.

Two separate sources tell CNN that basketball legend Kobe Bryant, 41, died early Sunday morning in Los Angeles, CA. Bryant was one of 5 people who died when helicopter crashed on a hillside in Calabasas. (CNN)

High-Key Details: Additional reports claim Kobe’s wife was not onboard the private helicopter with him.

Kobe was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it went down. A fire broke out. Emergency personnel responded, but nobody on board survived. 5 people are confirmed dead. We’re told Vanessa Bryant was not among those on board. Eyewitnesses also tell us that they heard the helicopter’s engine sputtering before it went down. As you can see, flames and smoke covered much of the scene from the wreck.
