Punch line laden bars over banging beats. That has been the Detroit native Aztek the Barfly’s formula thus far and he does not deviate from that path with his latest release entitled Line King. The album is produced entirely by long time collaborator/partner in rhyme Detroit producer/emcee Foul Mouth. The combination of these two provides a maniacally crafted soundscape any mad scientist would be envious of. Aztek has taken the gloves off delivering haymaker punch line after punch line weaving in and out of dense rhyme schemes. Line King creates vivid almost palatable images for the listener propelling The Barfly into the top tier of lyricists. Line King marks Aztek’s third solo album and the first release on the Middle Finger Music imprint.
