Rap personality Akademiks really, really, really doesn’t like Meek Mill. The hip-hop blogger went online this past weekend to personally get at the Maybach Music Group rap star.
Akademiks Exposes Meek Mill
In a new Instagram Live rant, Ak didn’t hold back on going off on Meek Mill. The fellow Philadelphia native shut down Mill and how he views himself in the rap game.
“You can get at me right now – I hear you might not drop a record in 2020, might be 2021. Why? Because you’re looking bad now – you thought you could cancel me. Cancel me? N*gga, you’re out of your f*cking mind, n*gga. Aight? If you got beef with 6ix9ine, PNB Rock got beef with 6ix9ine, me and PNB talked recently about some other sh*t – if y’all got beef with 6ix9ine, handle your beef with 6ix9ine, brah. … But don’t try to angle it at me. So Meek, you ain’t canceling a f*cking thing. I want everybody who is in comments section who is f*cking with me, go to Meek Mill and ask him, ‘Didn’t you cancel Akademiks? What the f*ck is happening because he’s still talking about you.’ Meek, I’m so offended that you thought you were that n*gga. I’m so offended, bro. By the way, Uzi’s the hottest n*gga in Philly. Me and Uzi talked for a good while yesterday – me and Uzi talked about some funny sh*t – Uzi, you’re a rockstar.”
Akademiks also questioned just how much of a superstar Meek is in 2020. The blogger even went as far as to suggest Mill can’t drop an album because Roc Nation has him on lock.
“But Meek, you’re not that n*gga. You bullied Melly, you can bully these little n*ggas, I won’t you on an industry level to bully me. You can’t do it. You cannot do it. … I’m not challenging Meek on no street level – he thinks he’s that n*gga. Meek, you cannot do anything on an industry level to Akademiks. When you think you can, talk to me – otherwise, I heard Roc Nation put you on mute. Put you on mute. You know what you should of done? You should have gassed up Freddie Gibbs – he got more money making t-shirts dissing me than his album. I don’t care – you though, thinking you could cancel – you’re unimportant. You think this is 2015, or 2016 or even 2014. But Baby is what you are now. I f*ck with Baby. What are you gonna do?”
High-Key Details
In early July 2020, Ak went to his social media channels to address Meek’s issues with him. Instead of losing his cool, he questioned Mill’s perceived inability to balance his fight for prison reform and rapping about illegal activities.
“You’re a walking contradiction. You can’t decide if you want to be a street n*gga one minute or if you want to fight for prison reform the next. Your music glorifies all types of gangster activity that actually helps put Black men in jail but to keep it real, you’re like, ‘Nah man. Let’s focus on things that’ll get them out.’ You got mad energy for me but you had no energy when you saw Nicki Minaj’s man Mr. Petty in the store. All I’m saying is put out music. In late June 2020, Mill hit up Twitter and didn’t hold back on roasting Akademiks. Meek vowed to take him out for the culture and encouraged people to cancel Ak.

Instead of staying mum, Akademiks made sure to clap back at Meek. He even singled out Mill’s past feud with ex-rival Drake in an Instagram post on The Shade Room‘s page.
